President and Chief Executive Officer

Robert L. Cucin, M.D., J.D., M.B.A., F.A.C.S

    Dr. Cucin is a practicing plastic surgeon in Manhattan affiliated with The Presbyterian New York and the New York Downtown Hospitals.  He received his undergraduate training from Cornell University where he received his B.A. and graduated magna cum laude in chemistry and with distinction in all subjects.  He was granted his M.D. from Cornell Medical School and did both his General Surgery and Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery residences at The New York Hospital - Cornell University Medical Center.    He is board-certified in plastic surgery and legal medicine and has a teaching appointment at the Weill Cornell Medical School.

   He received a Juris Doctorate from Fordham Law School and is duly admitted to the New York, New Jersey and D.C. Bars and the American Trial Lawyers Association. His original research has been the subject of numerous contributions to the medical literature and he has published books in the fields of both medicine and law. Dr. Cucin funded the Rocin Foundation for Plastic Surgical Research to support his academic research and employs his combined degrees and experience in heading a Biotechnology Analysis and Advisory Service to assist new and established companies in developing and either manufacturing or licensing their biomedical intellectual property and to perform due diligence for investors interested in providing the start-up funds for ventures based upon new technology.    Concentrating in finance, Dr. Cucin obtained an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and is a member of  Mensa.  

    Twenty years ago Dr. Cucin set up Rocin Laboratories, Inc. as a Research and Development company to perfect biomedical dermatologicals and devices. That company now has an extensive international patent portfolio and it is from that portfolio that first Lipotome Sales, then the Surgeons Tools Division, and now the separate company BioSculpture Technology, Inc. was funded to concentrate on the further refinement, manufacture and worldwide distribution of the most advanced body contouring and tissue sculpting art of that portfolio.


Chief Financial Officer

Deborah Salerno

   Ms. Salerno joined Bodkin Securities where she became a Senior Registered Option Principal, she was a licensed registered representative with an NASD Series 4 (registered Option Principal), NASD Series 7 (General Securities Representative), and NASD Series 24 (General Securities Principal) registrations, and was accepted as an Allied Member of the NYSE. In 1985, Ms. Salerno joined Yves Hentic & Co., as Syndicate Manager, where she syndicated fifteen (15) new issue and secondary offerings and arranged the firm's participation in more than fifty (50) offerings. 

    In 1987, Ms Salerno became a partner at Magna Securities, a New-York based broker-dealer. Ms. Salerno helped expand the firm to include two offices in Florida, Boca Raton and Sarasota with the acquisition of Welshire Securities. Following the crash of 1987, focused on a more tailored approach and higher quality standards as an investment banker. She became the principal in a dozen blind pool/blank check offerings. Using knowledge acquired over a decade, she became successful with a dozen offerings underwritten by Westminster Securities Corporation and was finding merger partners for the offerings. 

    The 1990's provided exciting market opportunities requiring full time attention, and Ms. Salerno accordingly spent the last fourteen years involved in capitalizing on current trends, becoming particularly active in the PIPE (Private Investments in Public Equity) market. In October 2009, Ms. Salerno passed the Series 7 and 63 exams and joined the banking department of Global Arena Capital, where she will provide expertise in the Alternative Public Offerings market, as well as traditional banking.

    Ms Salerno brings over 30 years of experience in the finance and securities industry and her skill set will be particularly helpful as BioSculpture Technology grows.


Consultants and Advisors

Peter Ciriscioli, Ph.D., Engineering

    Dr. Ciriscioli is Program Manager of the Engineering Mechanics Laboratory at General Electric Corporate Research where he leads new technology development and implementation throughout GE. Prior to that he worked as a consultant in technology strategy, technology transfer process, and product analysis for HEXCEL, a $1.5 Billion aerospace materials manufacturer.

    Prior experience includes that as Director of Research for the Fiberite Corporation where he led 30 engineers and scientists in U.S., U.K. and Europe and was responsible for the strategy and implementation of new technologies and products throughout the enterprise.

    Dr. Ciriscioli received his B.S. and M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of California and a Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University. He has four patents, two books, and more than 20 published journal articles to his credit.


Simon Taylor, Esq. Legal

    Simon graduated from Columbia College (Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude and John Jay Scholar) and from Harvard Law School. He was born in England and grew up in California in Palo Alto and Lodi in the state’s Central Valley.  Simon  provides expertise in three complementary areas: (a) law, in the fields of corporate, securities, general business, technology, mergers and acquisitions and venture capital law; (b) investment banking and venture capital finance; and (c) consulting to companies, executive teams, entrepreneurs and inventors and holders of intellectual property. 

    From 1988 to 2004, Simon was an attorney with the law firm Snow Becker Krauss in New York, which he joined as a partner and where he became of counsel in 1995, when he founded a venture capital advisory firm. He formed his own law firm in July 2004 as an outgrowth of the practice he built at Snow Becker. Prior to Snow Becker, Simon was an attorney with Finley, Kumble, Wagner, then the largest law firm in the United States. Since April 2000, Simon has served as President and principal of the investment bank ACN Securities Inc., which has offices in New York and California. ACN is a member of FINRA and is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission. 

    His consulting firm, Integrative Consulting LLC, focuses on technology commercialization and venture opportunities involving U.S. national laboratories, universities and other research institutions and strategic partners and investors in the U.S., Japan and other countries and provides advice to companies and executive and technology teams on ventures and transactions and strategy and innovation. Integrative brings to bear senior professional skills, high-level domain expertise, financing and cross-border capabilities. 


Brigadier General Richard B. Yules, M.D.

    Brigadier General Richard B. Yules is the Air National Guard assistant to the deputy assistant secretary of defense (health services, operations and readiness), Pentagon, Washington, D.C. He serves as the principle liaison, and facilitates coordination of assets and policies between the ANG and the office of the assistant secretary of defense for health affairs. General Yules earned a Bachelor of Science degree in zoology from Yale University in 1962 and a doctor of medicine degree from Yale University in 1966. 

    Dr. Yules has retired as owner and director of the Haelen Medical Center, a group specialty practice. He is a board certified otolaryngologist, having completed surgical residences at Stanford and Harvard universities, where he still maintains a faculty position. He is a fellow of the Aerospace Medical Society and has published over fifty manuscripts and chapters, including four books. He sits on the boards of several public and private companies. The general's civic affiliations include participation in thirty professional society memberships, including the National Guard Association of the United States, Military Surgeons of the United States, and the American Medical Association. He was promoted to brigadier general and federally recognized on Aug. 12,1992.

    The general's military education includes the Air Command and Staff College, 1979; and the National Security Management Course, 1980. He was commissioned as a captain in March 1970, and was assigned as an aerospace medical physician with the 104th Tactical Clinic, Massachusetts ANG, at Barnes ANG Base, Westfield, Mass. In April 1971, he became commander of the 104th Clinic. He was reassigned as state air surgeon, Headquarters, Massachusetts ANG, Otis ANGB, Mass., in November 1979, and held that position until his selection as ANG assistant to the command surgeon, Air Combat Command in September 1991. He was assigned to his current position December 1996.  His military awards and decorations include the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with one bronze oak leaf cluster, Air Force Organizational Excellence Award, National Defense Service Medal with one Bronze Star, Air Force Longevity Service Award with four bronze oak leaf clusters, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with one hourglass device, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon with one bronze star, Air Force Training Ribbon, and the Massachusetts Service Medal with one silver star.


Jack A. Meskunas, M.B.A.

    Jack Meskunas was born in New York City in April, 1960. His family moved to the Boston, Massachusetts area shortly thereafter, and he was raised in Reading, MA. After attending Prep School at the Belmont Hill School, Jack went on to Cornell University College of Arts & Sciences and graduated in 1982 with a double Major in Chemistry and Economics.

    Jack returned to the Boston Area after graduation, and attended the Graduate School of Management at Boston University, graduating with Honors in 1985. His primary areas of focus were Marketing and Strategic Planning. While in school, Jack consulted to several companies, including Computervision and Polaroid.

    After graduation, Jack was relocated to New York City by the Ford Motor Company to work out of their New York District Sales Office. Through his positions of Field Manager and Fleet Representative, Jack worked with some of the world's most important companies in the Tri-State area.

    In 1989 he left the automobile industry and entered the investment arena at Lehman Brothers. Over the last 12 years Jack has been affiliated with Oppenheimer, PaineWebber, UBS Warburg, and Prudential Securities. His client base has been primarily focused on Healthcare and Biotechnology-related companies and their executive officers. Jack has been instrumental in working with the Investment Banking community as well as private investment companies.
